Als kind was Joanna ook altijd aan het tekenen en dat is haar steeds blijven boeien. Toen ze wat meer tijd kreeg voor haar zelf heeft ze het tekenen en schilderen serieus opgepakt.
Aquareleren vind ze fascinerend, het water, pigment en papier is wonderlijk samenspel met verrassend uikomsten.
Ook in andere media voelt ze zich helemaal thuis, zoals olieverf en acrylverf.
Haar inspiratie vindt ze om zich heen. Ze is dan ook veel met een camera op pad om de onderwerpen die ze zou willen schilderen vast te leggen, zodat ze de foto's later kan gebruiken.
Joanna's werk is divers, de ene keer vindt ze het leuk om realistisch te schilderen, maar gaat ook met veel plezier met een abstract aan de slag.
Portretten is een feest voor haar om te schilderen.
As a child Joanna was always drawing and that held her interest during the years. When she got some more time for herself she started with drawing and painting more seriously.
She finds watercolor most fascinating, the water, pigment and paper is a wonderful play with surprising results. But she is also happy to paint with other media like oil and acrylics.
She finds her inspiration in her environment. She therefore is often on her way with a camera to take pictures of what she sees around her. The photo's are her references for future paintings.
Joanna's makes a lot of different paintings. Sometimes she loves to paint realistic, but she also paints abstracts.
